Community Involvement
CoastLife CU supports, sponsors and participates in activities to benefit the local community throughout the year. We're committed to helping our communities become stronger and financially healthier. Some of the ways you'll see our involvement:
Scholarships

CoastLife Credit Union's Kidz Fest
The Kidz Fest is a FREE annual event, open to the community hosted by CoastLife CU and the FOCUS Foundation and held in Spring of each year. The Credit Union provides entertainment, games and rides and invites vendors to provide educational and fun activities for the kids. Previous vendors have included the United States Marines, Texas State Aquarium and Texas A&M Wetlands on Wheels among many others.
Financial Literacy for Youth
The Credit Union believes in preparing our youth for the real world through education. That's why we've developed our free Fitness Friday Bootcamp summer program. We also encourage schools and other organizations to reach out to us to do in-class financial education for all age groups. Our goal is to ready our children for the future. If you're interested in having a CoastLife CU Representative present a financial topic, please contact us.
Driscoll Children's Hospital
It's all about the kids!! CoastLife CU helps throughout the year by selling candy, volunteering for different events and donations made by Staff through payroll deductions.
FOCUS Foundation
CoastLife CU and Staff raise money throughout the year with fundraisers in support of the FOCUS Foundation. The FOCUS Foundation benefits the children within Nueces and the surrounding counties by providing grants to schools and organizations for educational purposes and more.
Charitable Donations
CoastLife CU employees make contributions through payroll deduction each pay period. These deductions go towards local non-profit organizations chosen by employees. For 2023, those are Driscoll Children's Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House, Communities in Schools and The Purple Door.
